A multi-sport athlete while growing up in the San Fernando Valley, senior Pravin Krishna now gives all his attention to the sport that fits him best—football. A serious and dedicated competitor, Krishna was recently selected as the co-captain of his team, setting an example on and off the field in a program just making its entrance into 11-man football.

"It has to start with the players. They have to want it more than anyone else," Krishna said when asked what Viewpoint has to do to become a top-tier program. "The players have to hit it hard in the weight room and work hard in practice. The coaches can want it more than anything, but if the players don’t have the work ethic, it’s not going to happen."

Born of parents native to India, Krishna’s abilities on the football field have made them fans of the purely American sport. Even his father, a doctor, who isn’t keen on the risk of injury associated with the physical game, supports the game.

"Both my parents support me a lot, even though my dad wasn’t too excited about it at first," Krishna said. "They’ve always told me that whatever I do I should do it well, and the same goes for me playing football."
