Daughters of American Revolution hosts meeting

The California State Society Daughters of the American Revolution will host its Southern Council meeting on Fri. and Sat., Sept. 24 and 25, at the Irvine Marriott, 18000 Von Karman, Irvine. The Conejo Valley Chapter will be represented and invites interested persons to join them.

James Hollabaugh, of James Hollabaugh Law Office in Fremont, will be the keynote speaker. In conjunction with Constitution Week activities, he will present "Our Constitution and the Patriot Act: Friend or Foe."

State regent Nancy Alexander of Danville will report the status of state projects and accomplishments.

At 7 p.m. Friday, a lineage workshop titled "Treasure This Day" will be presented by some of the state’s volunteer genealogists.
