Children’s Festival of the Arts planned

The Conejo Valley Chapter of the National Charity League and the Conejo Recreation and Park District have scheduled a Children’s Festival of the Arts from 2 to 3 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 2, at the Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road in Thousand Oaks.

The free fun-filled day of hands-on arts and crafts, music and entertainment, will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Sat., Oct. 2 at Conejo Creek Park North, 1379 E. Janss Road in Thousand Oaks.

More than 20 fun crafts will be available, including face painting, model magic and the popular Box City.

Scheduled entertainers will include the Pacific Coast Highlanders Bagpipers and Irish Dancers, "Razzle Bam Boom" children’s music, an African dance presented by the Valley Cultural Center and Dance Dimensions, and Don Caldwell, the Balloon Guy.

Refreshments will be available at a nominal fee.

In case of rain, alternate site is the Thousand Oaks Community Center, 2525 N. Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks.
