AHS Spirit Team takes a trip

The Agoura High School Spirit Team finished its spring and summer practices by attending the United Spirit Association summer camp at UC Santa Barbara. The cheerleaders and songleaders garnered superior awards for each of their teams and also earned the "Unity Award" voted on by all of the other squads attending.

Team members receiving "All Star" titles were: Danielle Miller, Jillian Goldman, Rachel Sherman, Grace Goeglein, Laura Balletta, Cody McGray and Kaci Campbell.

The Spirit Team at Agoura High School is a five-time national champion as well as the winner of the Aloha International Championship 2004 in the competitive cheerleading arena.

The coaching staff includes Eileen McGrew, coach; advisor Vicki Koch; and assistant coaches Kelly Mills and Michele Boehle.

The Spirit Team is currently preparing for the 2004-05 sports seasons. With school spirit as its focus, the team supports all sports at the school, honoring each athletic team as "Team of the Week" throughout the year.
