AAUW to sip coffee, chat, then host education event

The American Association of University Women (AAUW), Thousand Oaks Branch, will host a Coffee and Chat at 9 a.m. Sat., Sept. 4 at Greenhouse Café, 652 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks. "Find out who’s who and what’s what" and how to get involved with AAUW. New, old and current members are welcome to attend. For information on this event, please call Narda at (805) 493-2138.

The deadline to RSVP for the group’s fall membership breakfast program is Mon., Sept. 6. The event, "Supporting Education in the 21st Century," will be presented from 8:30 a.m. to noon Sat., Sept. 18 at the Los Robles Banquet Center, Thousand Oaks. A special tribute will be presented to all of the group’s past and current teachers/educators. New members are welcome, as there will be displays of the branch activities.
