Thank you, Acorn

Thank you for your support of our recent community fundraiser, The Marketplace, which was held Sat., May 1, at Oak Park High School. Stephanie Bertholdo’s presence at the event, (Lori Porter’s) excellent article and the front page coverage you provided in your May 6 edition did much to raise awareness about our event and community cause.

Through the event, we raised over $12,000 for the Oak Park High School Athletic Boosters Club Track Improvement Fund and moved a step closer to our goal of installing a tartan track at the Oak Park High School open to the school’s athletes and the surrounding community.

Special thanks to you for your generous support of our event in the form of a free advertisement in your April 29 edition and to Eve Smith of your staff, who graciously assisted us with our ad copy and the paper’s printing deadlines. Again, we are profoundly grateful for The Acorn’s support of the Track Improvement Fund and this community event. Thank you so much.
