Granny Family Science Night planned at senior center

The Discovery Center for Science and Technology will sponsor a "Granny Family Science Night" from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thurs., July 22 at the Goebel Senior Adult Center, 1385 E. Janss Road, Thousand Oaks.

Grandparents or any adults are invited to bring their grandkids or children for a night of discovery. The Goebel Center will be "transformed into a jumbo science lab" filled with hands-on science experiments. Activities are most appropriate for children ages 4-12.

Visitors will have an opportunity to create science projects with children and to learn about the Discovery Center project in Thousand Oaks and its need for volunteers and other museum supporters.

Admission is $3 per child. Grandparents and adults will be admitted free. Refreshments will be available at a minimal cost.
