Church of Religious Science announces events

Westlake Church of Religious Science conducts Sunday services from 9:30 to 9:50 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at 2649 Townsgate Road, Ste. 500, Westlake Village. At the earlier service, a member of the church’s Ministry of Prayer will lead "A Time for Transformation." At 10 a.m., the Rev. Sue Rubin will lead "Celebration of Life." Her July theme of talks is "The Zenith of Life: Freedom."

On Sun., July 18 her topic will be "Am I My Brother’s Keeper?" and on Sun., July 25, guest speaker Jonathan Young will discuss "Mysterious Tales of the Round Table." From 1 to 4 p.m. Young will present a workshop, "Finding the Magician Within." Young is curator of the Joseph Campbell Archives and Library in Santa Barbara and "his expertise involves exploring the mythic dimensions of our inner world." The cost for this event is $20 advance purchase or $25 at the door.
