Temple Adat Elohim names new executive director

Richard Howard has become the new executive director of Temple Adat Elohim, the reform synagogue of the Conejo Valley, 2420 E. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks.

Howard has served six years as associate director of Community Housing Services, an institution of the Episcopal Diocese.

He was assistant director of housing for the Single Room Occupancy Housing Corporation, where he managed its 18 residential hotels on Los Angeles’ Skid Row.

An active member and supporter of nonprofit sector trade organizations, Howard previously served as project manager of the Southern California Interfaith Hunger Coalition for AmeriCorps National Service Los Angeles Anti-Hunger and Empowerment Project, as well as program director of Jewish Community Centers of Greater Los Angeles.
