Women’s fashion show funds scholarships, local charities

The Westlake Women’s Club, a four-time winner of the Conejo Valley Service Club of the Year award, will host its 35th annual fundraising event, a fashion show and luncheon themed "Cruising into Spring Fashion," on Tues., April 20 at the Hyatt Westlake Plaza Hotel, 880 S. Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village.

Boutiques and a silent auction get underway at 10 a.m. A social hour follows at 11 a.m. Lunch is at noon with the fashion show and entertainment. Fashions for all ages for cruise apparel ideas will be presented by shops from The Oaks shopping center in a "fast-paced, New York/European-type show," according to a club representative.

This is the club’s major fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit about 40 local charities and provide funding for scholarships to be awarded to seven local high school students.
