Take guided hikes at Ahmanson

A series of guided hikes will permit local residents to get to know the Ahmanson Ranch property, recently acquired as public parkland in Calabasas. All hikes are about one to three miles in length and suitable for families. Participants should meet at the Las Virgenes Canyon Road trailhead, one mile north of the 101 Freeway. Those joining the hikes are advised to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate foot gear and be aware that the nearest public restroom facility is at Gates Canyon Park, about one mile east of Las Virgenes Canyon Road on Thousand Oaks Boulevard.

The schedule of April hikes follows. For information, call the Mountains Recreation & Conservation Authority at (661) 255-2937.
