Oak Park’s MAC

Ventura County Supervisor Linda Parks told the Oak Park Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) last week that county supervisors voted to hike Oak Park’s trash hauling rate by $2 in the middle of town. This will enable the same rate of $21 throughout Oak Park. Parks said she voted against it.

Dedication of the new Oak Park Library on Kanan Road will be 2 to 4 p.m. this Sun., Feb. 8. It officially opens at 3 p.m. next Mon., Feb. 9. Hours are: Monday and Tuesday 3 to 8 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; closed Sunday.

Todd Haines was elected chairman and David Chatfield was elected vice-chairman of the MAC.
