Oak Park Library to host grand opening

The community of Oak Park is invited to attend the grand opening of the new Oak Park Library from 2 to 4 p.m. Sun., Feb. 8 on the campus of Oak Park High School, 899 N. Kanan Road, Oak Park.

The celebration will include a dedication ceremony, refreshments, music, and the Oak Park High School cheerleaders. The Oak Park Friends of the Library will provide tours of the new facility.

The Oak Park Library is a joint use project of the county of Ventura and the Oak Park Unified School District, and will serve as the library for Oak Park High School and the community.

Elaine Breen, the Oak Park city librarian, and library staff will be on hand to answer questions. During the event, prospective patrons may sign up for a new card that will be good at all Ventura County- operated community libraries.
