Agoura Hills

Suspect(s) torched a padlock ($15 damage) and stole $9,000 worth of tools from a construction container in the 29100 block of Canwood Street where apartments were being built between Nov. 26 and Dec. 1.

The window to a Jeep Cherokee had $300 damage and three purses and their contents were stolen. The $496 loss occurred outside a restaurant/bar in the 30100 block of Agoura Road between 11 and 11:45 p.m. Dec. 5.

Calabasas

From a GMC Yukon that had $300 damage to a window, burglar(s) stole a laptop computer valued at $3,200. The break-in occurred the night of Dec. 8 in the 5300 block of Las Virgenes Road.

The total loss was $1,500 after a Mercedes 500SL convertible was damaged and its electrical box was stolen. The top was down when the theft occurred (between 12:15 and 7:15 a.m. Dec. 7 in the 23600 block of Calabasas Road).

A VW Jetta owner’s manual, vehicle registration and a CD case and compact discs were stolen. The suspect(s) apparently used a "slim Jim" or similar device to gain entry and the loss was $340. The incident took place the night of Dec. 8 in the 5300 block of Las Virgenes Road.

A vehicle window was smashed ($300 damage) and a Tiffany vase of unknown value was stolen in the 5700 block of Las Virgenes Road between 12:15 and 8 a.m. Dec. 6.

The loss was $200 after Christmas decorations and Christmas tree and wreath were stolen from an unlocked Cadillac Escalade in the driveway of a Park Belmonte home between 8:15 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 4.

The ignition to a Ford Explorer was damaged and $142 worth of valuables (including sunglasses, golf clubs, a garage door opener and cash) were stolen. The vehicle burglary occurred the night of Dec. 5 in the 4200 block of Las Virgenes Road.

A mailbox locking device was damaged ($20 loss) after vandalism on Muhlholland Highway between Dec. 5 and 8.

On Dec. 8 or 9, a driver’s license was stolen from an unlocked BMW in a carport in the 5300 block of Parkmor Road.

Westlake/T.O.

Between 5:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and 7 a.m. Dec. 10 in the 3100 block of Townsgate Road, the total loss was $2,620 when someone cut the locks off storage containers and stole a power saw, a drill and other similar items.

A suspect battered someone with an unknown object between 1:15 and 1:26 p.m. Dec. 10 at an unidentified address on Lakefield Road.

Westlake Village

Jewelry and china valued at $9,180 were stolen from a Henley Court home between Nov. 1 and 30. There were no signs of forced entry. Construction workers had access to the dwelling in mid-November.

Between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Dec. 5, a golf bag and clubs were stolen from a golf rack outside a pro-shop in the 4800 block of Lakeview Canyon Road. The loss was $1,250.

A door and cabinets were damaged at a clubhouse in the 32100 block of Lindero Canyon Road and cash was stolen. The total loss was $594 and the burglary took place between 1 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 8.

An 80-year-old woman reported that a .38 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver was stolen ($350 loss) from her home in Westlake Village. The victim said the theft occurred during a time when she was forced from her home by the Catholic Church. She had intended, she said, on donating her property to the church upon her death. A high ranking church official, she said, forced her out illegally and attempted to move into the property himself. This happened sometime in November, she said, and she was only recently allowed to move back into her property. The woman also gave the name and phone number of her attorney, who, she said, might have additional information. The gun was stolen between Nov. 22 and Dec. 8.
