Children invited to name Santa’s new female reindeer

Five winning names will be randomly picked on Tues., Jan. 6

Local youngsters are invited to name the female reindeer that has joined Santa’s sled team this holiday season at The Oaks Mall in Thousand Oaks.

Children can drop off their suggestions for her name at a box near Santa’s Place in center court at the mall. Five winning names will be randomly selected on Tues., Jan. 6. All five finalists will receive a $100 gift certificate redeemable at The Oaks or any Macerich shopping center location.

Santa will be granting wishes from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays. He’ll take flight early—at 5 p.m.—on Wed., Dec. 24.

For those who want to capture the moments on Santa’s knee, several photo packages are available starting at $15. Personal cameras are always welcome, too.

The Oaks is off the 101 Freeway at Lynn Road and Hillcrest Drive.
