Chaparral students collect toys for homeless children in Los Angeles Chaparral students collect toys for homeless children in Los Angeles  MORRIS COHEN/The Acorn REACHING OUT AND HELPING OTHERS-Fifth-grader Clara Thomas, 10, stands with more than 1,000 toys, games and stuffed animals that were collected by students during a toy drive that she organized at Chaparral Elementary School in Calabasas. The toys will be going to United in Harmony, a group that helps homeless kids in Los Angeles.
