Christmas music to be presented at service

The Chancel Choir and Celebration singers will present special Christmas music on the fourth Sunday of Advent at the 9 and 10:30 a.m. services on Sun., Dec. 21 at United Methodist Church, 1049 Westlake Blvd., Westlake Village. The choir and brass will begin with "Fanfare for Christmas" by Lloyd Pfautsch. The singers will perform Daniel Pinkham’s "Christmas Cantata" with organ and brass, followed by "Sing We Now of Christmas," a medley of carols arranged by Ed Lojeski. The Celebration singers will present "Candlelight Carol" by John Rutter.

Dr. Gary Alan Dickey will give the message at the 8 a.m. service, which is casual and meets in Alton Hall.

Sunday School classes for all ages meet at 9 a.m. Care for infants and young children is provided at 9 and 10:30 a.m.

There will be four services on Christmas Eve, Wed., Dec. 24: 4 p.m., Eventide Communion; 5:30 p.m., Family (nursery care); 7:30 p.m., Candlelight (nursery care); and 9 p.m., Candlelight Communion. Special music will be performed at each service.
