Cathedral plans Christmas events

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels at 555 W. Temple St. in downtown Los Angeles will host a series of events for all ages during the holiday season. Among the festivities planned are the following:

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sun., Dec. 21, the cathedral will have a manger scene featuring live animals including a camel, sheep and goats.

At 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. Sun., Dec. 21 following Mass, the Center at Cathedral Plaza restaurant will host a Holiday Sunday Brunch featuring traditional food and seasonal favorites. The cost is $30 for adults and $12 for children under 12, and reservations (required) can be made by calling (213) 680-5271 or visiting the Website www.olacathedral.org.

At 1 and 2 p.m. Mon. and Tues., Dec. 22 and 23, the cathedral’s Holiday Tea and Tour package will include a cathedral art and architecture tour followed by traditional English tea in the viewing foyer overlooking the plaza.
