LVUSD Board reorganizes

The board of education in Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD) reorganized at last week’s board meeting.

Judy Jordan once again took the helm as board president, marking her fourth term as leader. Gordon Whitehead was appointed as vice president of the board and Cindy Iser became clerk. Jordan replaced Terilyn Finders as president.

Finders was honored at the ceremony for her service over the past year. Jordan said that Finders accomplished much. "We appreciate your leadership," Jordan said. On behalf of the trustees, Jordan presented Finders with an engraved leather notebook.

A representative from state Assemblywoman Fran Pavley’s office presented a certificate of appreciation to Finders.

    Agoura Hills Mayor Dan Kuperberg and Mayor Pro Tem Ed Corridori attended the meeting to pay tribute to the board for their hard work and commitment to education.

Kuperberg congratulated everyone on their new positions and said he was happy to continue working with them. Corridori shared similar sentiments.
