City of Westlake Village to award grants for community service

The city of Westlake Village is accepting applications for its 2004 Community Services Grant Program. The city recognizes the value of local organizations who provide specialized social services and cultural programs that benefit the citizens of Westlake Village.

A total of $60,000 is earmarked to support the Community Services Grant Program. Grants will be awarded in amounts of not less that $250. Nonprofit organizations that serve residents of the city of Westlake Village are eligible.

Applications are available at city hall, 31200 Oak Crest Drive, Westlake Village, and must be submitted by 5 p.m., Fri., Jan. 23. Proposals received will be evaluated by a review committee and grants will be awarded by the city council on a competitive basis.
