Autism will be discussed

Ventura County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) will host a workshop titled "Social Thinking" from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 8 at Ventura County SELPA, 777 Aileen St., Camarillo.

It will be presented by Michelle Garcia Winner, a speech and language specialist, and is designed for parents and professionals to understand the inner mind of the person on the Autism Spectrum (Asperger Syndrome) or with non-verbal learning disability.

Registration is required. The cost/donation is $55 (outside Ventura County SELPA $65). Childcare is not available.
