They gave the most—their lives
     I think about writing you each time an officer of firefighter has been killed. Since the death of Matthew Pavelka, the Burbank police officer, and the death of Steve Rucker, the firefighter killed fighting our recent fires, I feel compelled to tell you that each passing breaks my heart.

Gun safety article was propaganda
     The outrageously biased "Important Tips Offered for Gun Storage" article in the Nov. 13 Acorn is quite a piece of propaganda. Subtly implying that the mere presence of a gun in the home is the same as having a ticking bomb in the pantry, The Acorn insinuates that by existing, this evil device lies in wait to mutilate and slaughter anyone who even looks at it.
