This teacher is very special This teacher is very special On the front page of the Nov. 13 Acorn is a picture of the Veterans Day ceremony at A. E. Wright Middle School. This annual program at the middle school occurs thanks to the efforts of a Vietnam veteran, A.E. Wright science teacher Arthur Borquist. In the weeks approaching Veterans Day, Mr. Borquist makes sure that the students in his classes have a clear understanding of veteran issues and current events surrounding them. These Veterans Day discussions often involve not only the students themselves, but their families and friends. The ceremony at school has always been inclusive of family, friends, community members and current and former members of the Armed Services.
