Young Jewish adults can visit Israel free of charge ‘Birthright Israel’ program provides 10-day trip

Oak Park resident Marnie Kruschen advises that there’s a program called "Birthright Israel" that offers the opportunity for young Jewish adults (ages 18 through 26) who’ve never visited Israel to take a free trip there.

According to Kruschen, private organizations and individuals donate money to send Jewish adults to Israel. The 10-day trip includes airfare, hotels and most meals.

College students have the opportunity to earn three academic units through their participation. Activities include hiking, learning the language, visiting the Dead Sea and much more including being shown around Israel by Israeli peers. The program is called Oranim and more details including safety and security issues are available at the Website www.israel4free.com. Kruschen advises that winter departure dates are available.
