Thousand Oaks to change business hours

Thousand Oaks City Hall hours will change beginning Dec. 1. The new hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, are the result of a concerted effort to provide more efficient customer service to the public. Current hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays.

"The new hours will provide city staff prep time in the first half hour of the workday to prepare for customers at the service counters so as not to keep them waiting. Also, at the end of the day, the new hours provide a period of time to complete customer transactions at the public counter without incurring overtime costs," said City Manager Philip Gatch.
