Hospice to host tree lighting
Actor to emcee
Hospice of the Conejo will host a tree-lighting ceremony at 7:30 p.m. Wed., Dec. 3 at the west end of The Oaks shopping center, Thousand Oaks. Actor John Schneider will serve as master of ceremonies. Entertainment will begin at 7 p.m. and be provided by "A Class Act," a group of the Westlake High School Choral Music Department. The Hospice "Tree of Life" is adorned with stars "to remind us of those who were special to us during their lifetime as well as those who are special in our lives today," according to Hospice. The names of individuals who are being remembered or honored are written on the stars and are also placed in the "Book of Lights." Residents are invited to place a star on the Hospice Tree this season and spend a moment of peace and reflection in its presence. Donations received from the Tree of Life are used in service to those in the community who are terminally ill, to their families and to those who mourn the death of a family member or friend. There’s no charge for any of Hospice’s services. For more information, please call (805) 495-2145. |
