Senior Concerns to host family health fair at The Oaks

A family health fair providing free public access to key diagnostic tests and a broad range of information for adults and senior caregivers is slated for Center Court at The Oaks shopping center on Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks, Sat. and Sun., Nov. 8 and 9, during regular business hours at The Oaks. The fair will be presented by Senior Concerns.

More than 15 health maintenance and medical services—from insurance advisors and assisted living homes to counseling services and professional medical practitioners—will be available to offer free information at the event.

Exhibitor participants include Agoura Hills Senior Retreat, All Family Chiropractic, Alzheimer’s Association, Baxter Bioscience, Caregifters, Cottage of the Oaks, Hillcrest Inn, Holistic Alternatives, Home Instead Senior Care, Los Robles Homecare Services, Meditech Home Health, Pamela Hutchinson (Certified Hypno-therapist), Renaissance at Grand Oaks, Scher Long-Term Care Insurance Services, Senior Concerns, and Tender Loving Care.

"This is the inauguration of a public service event we hope to offer annually to Ventura and western Los Angeles County residents," said Evie Greene, president of 28-year-old Senior Concerns.

"Health maintenance at all ages and quality-of-life as we grow older are critically important issues for all individuals and family members. Our mission at Senior Concerns is to serve frail and special-need seniors and their family caregivers by providing a variety of continuing programs, appropriate resources and educational outreach. We will also showcase Senior Concerns services at the fair."
