L.A. site of free Nov. 15 Wellness seminar

The five Wellness Communities of Southern California, including the Valley/Ventura facility at 530 Hampshire Road in Westlake Village, have united to present a free seminar, "Journey to Wellness: Take Control of Cancer with Medicine, Mind and Body" on Sat., Nov. 15 at Los Angeles’ Union Station.

The goal is to address, educate and inform people with cancer and their loved ones regarding strategies for integrating cancer treatment, side effect management, mind-body techniques and support.

The conference will begin 9:30 a.m. with welcoming remarks from Wellness Community president and CEO Kim Thiboldeaux and founder Harold Benjamin, Ph.D. At 10:45 a.m. Dr. Jeremy R. Geffen, F.A.C.P., will present "The Seven Levels of Healing: A Body, Mind, Heart and Spirit Approach to Cancer, Healing, Wellness and Life." He’s a board-certified medical oncologist and pioneer in the field of integrative medicine and author of "The Journey Through Cancer" and audiotape program "The Seven Levels of Healing."
