Holiday boutique set for Nov. 15

Senior Concerns Bargain Boutique and Thrift Shop will stage its major annual fundraising event, a holiday boutique, fashion show and luncheon on Sat., Nov. 15 at Senior Concerns Adult Day Center, 401 Hodencamp Road, Thousand Oaks.

Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the Adult Day Center and the Thrift Shop at the rear of the Human Services Building, 80 E. Hillcrest Drive, Thousand Oaks. Lunch will be served at noon.

The event also will feature opportunity drawings, door prizes, entertainment and Bargain Boutique fashions modeled by Senior Concerns staff and volunteers.

The Bargain Boutique and Thrift Shop’s large and varied inventory of discounted Christmas season merchandise will be on sale at the Adult Day Center starting at 10 a.m. for those with luncheon tickets. The Bargain Boutique will close at 1 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 15 and reopen at 10 a.m. on Tues., Nov. 18 for continuing business at its Hillcrest Drive store.

"Our inventory of donated merchandise will include new toys, collectibles, stuffed animals, gift items, seasonal ornaments and holiday cards," said Joy Hagestad, Bargain Boutique manager and a member of Senior Concerns board of directors.

The Bargain Boutique and Thrift Shop is a major income producer for Senior Concerns, the Thousand Oaks-based private social service agency.
