Armed robber hits drugstore in Agoura Hills

The Agoura Hills Sav-On, located on Kanan Road near Thousand Oaks Boulevard, was robbed on Sat., Oct. 25 at 8:20 p.m. by a man armed with a gun.

According to Sgt. Ron Gomez of Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station, a male Hispanic walked to the register, partially lifted his shirt to expose a blue steel handgun and demanded that the cashier empty the register.

"The victim, being in fear of his life, complies, and the (perpetrator) calmly walks out of the store," Gomez said. He added that an eyewitness saw the man enter a white, two-door Honda Civic and drive south across the parking lot and out of view.

The Sav-On clerk and witness described the suspect as being about 5 foot, 7 inches tall, in his early 30s, and weighing about 175 pounds. He was wearing a black and red shirt and black jeans.

Sav-On representatives wouldn’t comment, but the robbery was videotaped on store security.
