CHS equestrienne wins top honor

Bell Canyon resident Adrienne Hillas, 16, a student at Calabasas High School, recently won the three-day eventing preliminary level championship on her horse Turbonium at the Shepherd Ranch Horse Trials in Santa Ynez.

Three-day eventing, an Olympic sport, is described as an "equestrian triathlon" involving dressage, endurance/cross-country, jumping and show jumping. Hillas has been riding since age 4 and has owned Turbonium for about 18 months.
