Won’t vote for Soteras

In his statement to The Acorn on Oct. 9, Alex Soteras tried to attack my character by simply lying. He stated that I held a fundraising event at my home for Dan Kuperberg and that I was "handpicked" by Dan Kuperberg as planning commissioner. I’ve never held a fundraiser for anyone. I was appointed to the planning commission by Ed Corridori.

I find this quite amusing since, in his ad in The Acorn on Oct. 16, Alex states, "I don’t think there is a place in politics to personally attack each other."

In matter of fact, Alex Soteras is spending thousands of dollars, through his political consultant, to hire a detective to investigate other candidates’ backgrounds to do just that. At last count he had spent $40,000 on his campaign. Glossy, expensive mailers will shortly be sent out attacking Dan Kuperberg on his character. When you have endless campaign funds, that’s what you do: buy the election.

So much for Soteras’ integrity in politics.
