Incumbents

It is an easy and pleasant task to vote to reelect Pat Schulz and Terilyn Finders for LVUSD school board. Despite significant challenges, there is such a positive force engendered by these two women that much has been accomplished. Through their efforts, teachers and administrators engage in cooperative problem-solving, and the relationship between these groups is encouraging.

Pat and Terilyn serve as role models for good communication because they sincerely seek ideas from all, acknowledge this input, and listen without imposing a personal agenda.

Pat and Terilyn provide effective leadership because they see the big picture by separating the significant from the minutiae. They have excellent perspective from their four years of experience to understand state constraints over which they have no control and those within their power to change. During their term, we have two new schools in process and have implemented the Measure R plan. They have made the very difficult budget cuts this year with an eye on what is best for our children. They understand the unique aspects of LVUSD, particularly important this next term when a new superintendent will be selected.

Pat and Terilyn have proven that they are capable and caring leaders. I hope you will join me in voting to reelect Pat Schulz and Terilyn Finders on Nov. 4.
