Councilman makes his endorsements

I will be voting for Pat Schulz and Terilyn Finders for the school board and Dan Kuperberg and Steve Rishoff for city council.

Pat Schulz and Terilyn Finders are clearly the best choices for the school soard. The district faces unprecedented financial challenges and will shortly have to select a new superintendent. Pat and Terilyn have already shown that they can tackle the tough issues. They have acquired the property for two new schools, completed many school renovations under Measure R, made the difficult budget decisions required because of cuts in state funding, improved working relations with the teacher’s association and insured that our students continue to excel on state tests.

Their community contacts and relationships helped to raise money and obtain capital improvements for our schools at a time when they are sorely needed. Pat and Terilyn have the experience, the integrity and the maturity to deal with the critical future challenges that will face the district.

In the city council race, Dan Kuperberg and Steve Rishoff are the only two candidates with an environmental record good enough to draw the endorsement of Mary Wiesbrock and Save Open Space. They are the only two candidates who publicly spoke at the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy hearings to buy Ahmanson Ranch.

They have a history of long time community involvement with no hidden agenda. Their campaign contributions come overwhelmingly from residents of Agoura Hills and not outside interests. They have gained the support of more residents and community leaders than any other candidates by far and for good reason.

Dan and Steve deserve your support on Nov. 4.

Ed Corridori
