Help us to help ‘Santa Comes to Agoura and Beyond’

In today’s Acorn, readers will find an entry blank on page 4 and a pre-addressed envelope for a voluntary subscription to The Acorn. The cost is only $15 per year and the offer is limited to addresses already getting The Acorn.

Forty percent of the proceeds will support the "Santa Comes to Agoura and Beyond" food drive. "We’re hoping to raise awareness," said Jim Rule, publisher of The Acorn Newspapers. "And 40 percent of the subscription fee will go to a deserving local cause," Rule said. (See our story about the food drive on page 21.)

Getting food and other necessities to local families is the first priority of the food drive that’s been around for more than 20 years.

Every home that gets The Acorn will have an envelope included in today’s issue. Please fill out the coupon and return it in the envelope.

It’s important to remember that the offer is limited to those who already get home delivery of The Acorn. People can get delivery from non-circulation areas through the mail, but the cost is $100 per year.
