Questions the candidate’s integrity

I was a member of the Agoura Chamber of Commerce from 1997 through 2000. I resigned as an officer with the chamber along with five other board members when Alex Soteras became president because we had serious concerns about his character and integrity. Now that he is running for city council, I have more concerns about his character and integrity.

How can he justify printing campaign pictures with public officials who do not endorse him?

Why does his campaign say he opposes Ahmanson Ranch when Mary Wiesbrock of Save Open Space says he’s been a public supporter of Ahmanson for years? Check the Website.

Why was the "Soteras/Chamber" newsletter sent to homes at the chamber’s expense, not his campaign’s, knowing very well the members’ dues were being used?

Why won’t he open the chamber’s financial books, especially since he has a relative on the payroll?

Why does the chamber only support charities on whose boards he sits?

Why are six people registered to vote at his two-bedroom condo in Agoura Hills, including his mom and four others, when everyone knows he lives alone and his mom lives in Westlake?

Why does he think as a city councilman he can vote for laws for us in Agoura Hills, when he doesn’t even follow the law by having a business registration with the city of Agoura Hills for his business?

I hope the voters see through all those mass mailers, and start thinking character, integrity, leadership and professionalism when they choose a candidate.
