Incompetence in Agoura Hills strikes again

Incompetence in Agoura Hills strikes again

I read the article concerning Shell’s decision to close the Palo Comado station. I just wanted to congratulate the Agoura Hills City Council and Planning Department for driving yet another business out of Agoura Hills. I was especially impressed that they can make it so hard to do business here that even multinational corporations don’t think it is worth it.

With thousands of new residents coming into the Oak Creek project, and with the anticipated construction that will close or severely restrict access to the gas stations near the Kanan interchange, residents will be forced to fill up their tanks outside of Agoura Hills, which means our sales tax revenues will decrease.

This was about as bright a move as delaying construction of the Kanan interchange until after there are thousands of new residents in Oak Creek to create further gridlock as a result of the interchange construction. With such brilliant decisions, one can only hope that all of the responsible council members will follow the current example and attempt to hand off their seat to their siblings or children.
