Girl Scouts fight juvenile diabetes
MICHAEL COONS/The Acorn HELPING OUT-Denise Russell, right, helps her daughter, Rachel, glue together a wizard made of Popsicle sticks for a project called "Meg's Pegs" by Girl Scout Brownie Troop No. 260 in Calabasas. The project will help Megan Alexandra Raich, who has juvenile diabetes. Megan will be walking with her family in the Walking to Cure Diabetes fundraiser in Santa Monica on Oct. 26. For each donation, Troop No. 260 will be making a peg that will go in a wagon on the walk.
