Chabad to celebrate with flags, dancing

Chabad will celebrate the holidays of Sukkot and Simchat Torah with services, festivals and "Hakafot" dancing.

The holiday begins Fri., Oct. 10 and continues through Sun., Oct. 19. The Torah refers to this holiday time as the "Season of Rejoicing."

Sukkot services are at 6:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

On Tues., Oct. 14 Chabad will join with the Conejo Jewish Day School for a Sukkot family celebration at the Pizza Nosh/Kosher Connection courtyard, 30315 Canwood St., Agoura Hills, featuring the David Lamm Orchestra, dancing, refreshments, entertainment and a performance by the Conejo Jewish Day School Choir.

Simchat Torah will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Sat., Oct. 18 at: Chabad of Westlake Village, 2524 Townsgate Road; Chabad of Agoura Hills, 30345 Canwood St.; Chabad of Oak Park, 5998 Conifer St.; and Chabad of Thousand Oaks, 2060 Avenida de los Arboles, Ste. 1 (facing Erbes Road).

There will be dancing with the Torah and flags for all children.
