‘Santa Comes to Agoura’ on cable TV

A special 30-minute program about the annual Santa Comes to Agoura food drive will be televised on Adelphia Channel 25 at 6:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 11 and 5:30 p.m. Sun., Oct. 12. The same program will be rebroadcast on weekends through the end of November on Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 5:30 p.m. In some areas, community access might be a different channel.

The event (which serves local needy families and individuals first, and then other worthy recipients) will culminate at 8 a.m. Sat., Dec. 6 at the Do-it Center parking lot on Roadside Drive in Agoura Hills. Watch for information about food donation sites in an upcoming edition of The Acorn. Drop-off boxes will be found at numerous business locations throughout the local area. In addition to food, the drive accepts personal care items (shampoo, toiletries, etc.), supermarket scrip, new unwrapped toys and personal checks.

There are no salaries or administrative costs in Santa Comes to Agoura. The nondenominational effort relies totally on volunteers. For more information, please call George Annino at (818) 991-1732.
