Second- and Third-Place Winners and Honorable Mentions in Our Annual ‘Take Your Acorn on Vacation’ Contest

A CHILLY SCENE-Shari DeLuca of Oak Park and her father, Eduard Thron of Westlake Village, are at the summit of Mt. Whitney during a snowstorm on Aug. 1 earlier this year. The Acorn survived an 11-mile trail that journeyed through rain and snow to an altitude of 14,497 feet. This took third place in our photo contest.
