Seniors to hear advice on coping with holiday stress

An educational forum on surviving the holidays will be offered for seniors and their families from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wed., Oct. 8 at St. Patrick’s Church, One Church Road (off Janss Road), Thousand Oaks. The program is free and open to the public.

Betty Berry of Thousand Oaks-based Senior Concerns will facilitate the program, which is part of the church’s ministries of the Golden Caim, an educational and fellowship program for seniors, their friends and family. A "caim" is the Celtic word for encirclement and refers to the program’s goal of surrounding seniors and their families with fellowship, caring and prayer.

For more information or directions, please call Amy Kent, the program coordinator, at (805) 493-0812.
