UCLA Extension will offer three new seminars for entrepreneurs over the next two months Entrepreneurs face special challenges in managing their companies. This fall, UCLA Extension presents three new seminars designed to help entrepreneurs develop their businesses and incorporate technology into their operations. "The Journey of Entrepreneurship" is designed for those who wish to evaluate where they have been and where they want to go with their business venture. The first half of the seminar helps participants discover their personal entrepreneurial style. The second half involves experiential exercises used for energizing and growing participants’ business ventures. This seminar meets 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 4 at UCLA Extension’s Lindbrook Center, 10920 Lindbrook Drive, Room 202A. Cost: $125. "Using Technology To Enhance Business Presentations" teaches the survival skills needed to make your business ideas and strategies stand out from the crowd. The seminar presents an overview of the guidelines for writing and presenting successful business strategies. Participants leave with the requirements for a well-written plan and powerful presentation, as well as the ability to utilize both effectively. This seminar meets 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sat., Oct. 18, at the Extension’s Lindbrook Center, 10920 Lindbrook Drive, Room 202A. Cost: $125. "Technology Update for Business Applications" provides an overview of the next-generation technologies currently being developed. Participants discuss ways of incorporating technology such as powerful servers, wireless devices and networks, and information security products into their business operations.
