Pavley bill to reduce rubble, debris in beach sand passed into law
Gov. Gray Davis recently signed AB-1212, authored by California state Assemblywoman Fran Pavley (D-Woodland Hills). The bill provides that no coastal development permit for sand replenishment can be issued unless and until the project applicant provides a plan both for on-site monitoring and for supervision during the implementation of the permit.
