Westlake Village man killed in motorcycle crash

Westlake Village resident Scott Weinstock, 34, died last week after suffering from severe head injuries from a recent motorcycle accident, according to California Highway Patrol spokesperson Leland Tang.

At 3:30 p.m., Sun., Sept. 7, Weinstock was heading eastbound on Mulholland Highway just east of Waring Drive in unincorporated Agoura on his motorcycle when, according to officers, he must have lost control and was thrown from his bike.

Weinstock landed on the road, said CHP officer Christopher Swanberg, who arrived on the scene afterward. The motorcycle was only moderately damaged, he said.

Weinstock was rushed to UCLA Medical Center to be treated for severe head injuries. About a week later, he died, sources said.

The cause of the accident wasn’t clear, according to Tang.
