Westlake Village to party

Plans for the inaugural Westlake Village "City Celebration Day" are currently underway. The all-day event is scheduled for Sat., Oct. 25 at the Westlake Village Civic Center, 31200 Oak Crest Drive. Local organizations and nonprofit groups are partnering with the city to help stage the event.

Sponsored by the city, the event will include morning, afternoon and evening activities suitable for the entire family. Already planned are a carnival benefiting White Oak Elementary School; a tot parade in the morning; an art show and photo contest sponsored by the Westlake Village Art Guild; and a free evening concert. The L.A. County Sheriff’s and Fire Departments will also be in attendance with interactive displays.
