We will never forget

We will never forget

We will never forget

It’s nearly impossible to write an editorial on the second anniversary of 9-11 without mentioning the events of two years ago.

Maybe after we’ve healed as a nation, maybe after the bitterness is gone, maybe after Osama bin Laden has paid for his crimes—maybe then we can talk about other things on Sept. 11—but not now and not anytime soon.

We must never forget what happened on Sept. 11, 2001. We must always remember because the world changed forever on that infamous day.

The deceit and deception of the terrorists were remarkable, but so is our resolve to seek justice.

No matter our political, religious or personal beliefs, we stand united in this pursuit.

We must never give up.

We must also keep hope alive: hope that world leaders will unite against tyranny and injustice, hope that freedom will prosper and hope that peace will prevail.

We will never forget 9-11.
