‘Prosperity’ is theme of upcoming yoga workshop

A special Kundalini yoga workshop led by Guru Rattan Kaur/Terri Cletro will be presented from 3 to 6 p.m. Sat., Sept. 20 at True Yoga, 2873 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. The class fee is $30 and reservations are required and can be made by calling (805) 449-4225. The topic of the workshop is "Prosperity."

Kundalini yoga was brought to the U.S. in 1969; before coming to the west it was only taught to India’s royalty in secrecy. It focuses on developing the core of the body (abdomen) along with breath work, chanting, meditation and various yoga postures.

Cletro currently teaches at Golden Bridge Yoga Studio in Los Angeles, where she attended a teacher-training program, and also teaches at True Yoga and Annie’s Yoga.
