Help seniors, help yourself

Sponsored by Conejo Recreation and Park District and the Corporation for National Service, the Conejo Valley Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) provides many volunteer opportunities and programs.

Qualified participants can serve as local trainers and ambassadors to carry the message about swindlers in "Seniors Against Investment Fraud."

Through "Homeowner/Renter Assistance," which is available by

appointment only, you may be eligible for a refund if you were 62 as of Dec. 31, 2002, or blind, or disabled, a homeowner or renter, and your household income doesn’t exceed $37,676 including Social Security. (You must be an American citizen or qualified alien.)
