In a story printed in the Aug. 28 issue of The Acorn about a Calabasas safety and security workshop, Calabasas Emergency Response Program (CERP) medical caches were described as being equivalent to full functioning emergency rooms or MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) units. The caches are no more than first aid stations for the walking wounded.

The Shell gas station on Chesebro Road in Agoura Hills remains open, not closed, for business during an extensive remodeling that’s underway.

"Despite the problems with the remodeling plan, previously before the (Agoura Hills) planning commission, an appeal by Shell and positive talks with the (Old Agoura) homeowners’ association has enabled the station to continue its now more than 18 years of service," said Leon Hazany, spokesperson for the station.
